SocialMatik Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 July 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how SocialMatik ("SocialMatik", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by SkafTech, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the SocialMatik website and services at https://socialmatik.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who We Are

SocialMatik is a social media management platform that lets you create, schedule, and publish content, generate content with AI, and connect your third-party social media accounts to publish on your behalf. The data controller is SkafTech. You can reach us at any time at contact@socialmatik.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information you provide when you register: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and profile details.
• Content you create, upload, or schedule through the Service, including text, images, and videos.
• Connected social account data obtained when you authorize a third-party platform (see Section 3).
• Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected to operate and secure the Service.
• Payment data: if you purchase a paid plan, billing details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.

3. Connecting Third-Party Platforms (TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Google)

When you connect an account, you authorize us through that platform's official OAuth login. We only request the permissions needed to provide the features you use, and we act solely on your explicit instruction.

TikTok. When you connect TikTok via the TikTok Login Kit, we receive your basic profile information (open ID, avatar, and display name) using the user.info.basic, user.info.profile, and user.info.stats scopes. With the Content Posting API we use video.upload to send videos you choose to your TikTok account (as drafts) and video.publish to post them at your request, and video.list to display your own public videos so you can manage them inside SocialMatik. We access this data only to deliver the publishing features you activate; we do not use TikTok data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it. Your use of TikTok features is also subject to TikTok's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We store the access and refresh tokens issued by each platform securely and use them only to perform the actions you request. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your SocialMatik dashboard, which revokes our access.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including scheduling and publishing your content.
• To generate content with AI when you use those features.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows: (a) with the social platforms you connect, to publish or manage content on your instruction; (b) with service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, or provide AI generation, under contractual confidentiality obligations; and (c) where required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Connected-platform tokens are kept until you disconnect the platform or delete your account. You may delete your content or your entire account at any time; upon account deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location (including under the EU/EEA GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can disconnect any connected account, delete individual content, or delete your account from your dashboard, or contact us at contact@socialmatik.com to exercise these rights. You may also revoke SocialMatik's access directly from the settings of each social platform (for TikTok, in your TikTok account's connected-apps settings).

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure token storage, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of material incidents where required.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
